Dr. Dalit Ken-Dror Feldman
I research and teach a variety of areas that fall under “law and technology,” including data, privacy and cyber security, AI (smart transportation and deep-fake), intellectual property, open access, information law, and legal ethics. I am also deeply involved in these issues as they play out in practice through my position as the head of the law, technology and cyber clinic at the Haifa Law Faculty.
Studying the connection between law and technology was a natural choice for me as a student of both law and computer science, from which I graduated Summa Cum Laude and Magna Cum Laude, respectively. I continued to pursue these interests in my LL.M. in Commercial Law (Magna Cum Laude) at Tel-Aviv University, where I researched the legal aspects of open-source/free software. In my Ph.D. dissertation at the University of Haifa, I proposed a comprehensive policy for open access to research findings and accessibility of academic knowledge for the public.
My post-doctoral research (2020-2021) focused on artificial intelligence and was supported by the Golda Meir Fellowship by the Ministry of Science and Technology. Specifically, I studied the legal and societal implications of Deep Fake technology and was supervised by experts from computer science, communication, and government faculties at both Reichman University (IDC Herzliya) and Tel Aviv University.
